Doug Edwards – President & CEO

As the chief executive of Leed Samples and Leed Fulfillment, Doug directs and oversees the strategic planning and direction of the organization and has a large involvement in the creative design and systems improvement aspects of the business.

Doug grew up with Leed, starting at 8 years of age stuffing envelopes and mowing lawns, moving over time to roles in typesetting, estimating, engineering, design and sales. He joined the family firm on a full-time basis after high school graduation in 1978 and has been here ever since. Doug is a big believer in Theory of Constraints (TOC) management and lean manufacturing principles, and has pushed heavily in those directions, including the current automation of the order information process via the Leed Order Information System (LOIS) platform.

Doug is a recognized expert in materials sampling and fulfillment, and is frequently consulted to help solve clients’ most difficult product/service challenges. He serves on the marketing committee of the Wallcoverings Association and also represents Leed at BIFMA and other industry events.

Doug and his wife Laura live in Evansville, Indiana along with Zuki, their Goldendoodle and office-mate. Outside of Leed, Doug enjoys boating and fishing and very much looks forward to spending time with his new grandkids.

Jamie Edwards – Vice President of Manufacturing

Jamie is responsible for the direction, strategy, planning, and performance of the company’s manufacturing operations. He oversees the day-to-day operations of sample manufacturing and fulfillment, process development and facilities, and the recruitment, development, retention and safety of the employees at the manufacturing facility.

Jamie grew up in the sample industry working with his father Richard, one of the co-founders of the company, and officially joined the business in 1986. He has extensive knowledge of all Leed manufacturing processes and plays an integral part in their ongoing development and improvement.

Jamie and his wife Brenda live in Jasper, Indiana with their three children. Outside of Leed, he enjoys family time, coaching fast-pitch softball, and is also an avid outdoorsman. He is active within his community and is a member of many local organizations.

 

George Grace – Executive Vice President & CFO

George is responsible for Leed’s financial planning and reporting, tax reporting and compliance, accounting, auditing, human resources, benefit plan design and administration, risk management, credit management, and facilities management.

George joined Leed in 1976, having served previously as a senior tax manager with an Evansville public accounting firm. His career also includes serving as an audit supervisor for Ernst & Young in Louisville, Kentucky. He is a retired Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Kentucky Society of CPAs.

George earned his B.S. degree in Accounting from Western Kentucky University, and also studied architectural design at the University of Illinois.

George and his wife Beth reside in Henderson County, Kentucky, along with numerous rescue dogs and cats. They are parents to two grown children and have two wonderful grandchildren. George is an avid sports fan and a loyal follower of the Kentucky Wildcats and St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoys playing golf, tinkering around the house, bird watching, reading and lounging by the pool.

Jake Edwards

Jacob Edwards – Vice President of Operations

Jacob is responsible for ensuring efficient, timely, and optimal processes are put in to place throughout the organization to continuously build upon it’s legacy of quality and timeliness.

Jake has been a part of Leed since 2006, taking on roles ranging from fulfillment to sales assistance and order management support via the LOIS platform. He earned his B.S. in Management and Marketing from Murray State University.

Outside of work, Jake enjoys spending as much time as he can with his wife and family. Other favorite activities include watching and playing basketball, reading, playing tennis, traveling, and staying in touch with good friends.

Amanda Watters – General Manager of Fulfillment

Amanda Watters is responsible for a wide range of Leed’s
samples and literature fulfillment activities, including operational continuity, client service management, performance metrics (KPI) management, shopping cart design and maintenance, new client sales assistance, and monthly billing and invoicing. She also oversees fulfillment warehouse processes including staffing, layout and design, receiving, picking, packing, kitting, inventory cycle counting, and shipping.

Prior to joining Leed in 2004, Amanda served as risk management manager at OneStar Long Distance, and computer technical support and office manager for CarParts Technologies in Evansville. She earned her B.S. degree in Management Information Systems from Western Kentucky University.

Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and family. Outside of Leed, Amanda enjoys training and running half-marathons and playing an occasional round of golf.

Helen Dilbeck – Senior Project Coordinator

A Leed team member since 1994, Helen Dilbeck is currently responsible for client account management, cost estimating, and order preparation. She is also a project manager for a broad range of clients, and helps develop, test and implement new procedures.

Helen previously worked in the plastics industry in project management positions and as an outside sales representative for a plastics distributor. She earned an A.S. degree in Computer Programming from Vincennes University.

Helen and her husband David enjoy playing and watching golf, and attending PGA tournaments. In between all the golf activities, they work in a little fishing. They have three grown children and five grandchildren. Helen is also active in community groups and church ministries.

Lee Sandefur – Senior Project Coordinator

Lee Sandefur is responsible for sales and customer service for a wide variety of Leed’s tactile sampling clients – including wallcovering, vinyl, leather and paper wholesalers as well as furniture manufacturers. She is an expert at working with clients and the Leed team to customize sampling programs and deliver high-quality results.

Lee joined Leed in 1983, and was previously the office manager for Foley Law Group in Louisville, Kentucky. She earned her B.S. degree in Psychology from the University of Southern Indiana.

Lee enjoys spending time with her family, including their golden retriever, Molly. She has been involved in helping with kids sports programs for many years, is fond of gardening and also enjoys reading whenever an uncommon quiet moment presents itself.

April Abell – Senior Project Coordinator

April Abell is responsible for managing client accounts, analyzing and handling their needs from order origination through order completion. She develops new client programs and products, manages client satisfaction, and works with Leed’s production, estimating, graphics, accounting and other team members to assist in successful order creation and completion.

April joined Leed in 1987 after college, was promoted to assistant to the president in 1989, and joined the Leed sales team in 1993 as an account manager. She is a graduate of Lockyear Business College in Evansville, Indiana.

April and her husband of 30 years, Michael William, live in Evansville, Indiana. Outside of Leed, she enjoys gardening, bird watching, antiquing, refinishing furniture, and sewing.

Chris Cassidy, Senior Project Coordinator

As an Account Executive, Chris is responsible for the delivery of exceptional customer service while managing projects for a diverse group of clients. Service includes cost estimates, inventory management, project organization, and the communication of client requirements/project status throughout the manufacturing process.

Upon joining the Leed Team, she brought a unique perspective as a customer/user of sales samples produced by Leed while employed as Manager of Customer Service for First Source Furniture Group in Nashville; TN. Prior experience includes managing Customer Service for Masterbrand in Richmond, IN and Store Manager for Elder Beerman Department Stores. A graduate of Indiana University, she earned a BS degree in Business/Marketing.
Chris and her husband, Tom, enjoy boating, travel, and spending time with family and friends.
